
Shipping Charges
UPS-Able items.
All orders under $500.00 ship with a $4.95 flat freight charge.
All orders over $500.00 ship free.
Non UPS-Able Items
Furniture and over sized items will be charged an actual freight charge, this will be charged after the order ships not during checkout. Please call for a quote.
Computer Paper
Due to the weight of computer paper and the ever rising UPS shipping rates. There is a $5.00 per box charge to ship computer paper. For larger paper orders please call for a quote.
Important notice to Alaska, HI, PR, APO, FPO customers.
Dataline can not send computer paper to Alaska, HI, PR, APO or FPO. All other items will ship USPS, actual shipping charges will be added when your order is billed. Small items that fit in expresses boxes, usually ship for under $10.00. Please call for a freight quote
APO and FPO orders will only be processed to accounts that use a military email address.
Sales Tax
New York State Sales tax
Dataline is required by law to collect sales tax to all shipments sent to an address in New York State. If you are an exempt orginization in New York, you must fax us a copy of your exempt certificate or you will be charged tax on your order. Fax your form to 800-553-5030.
Shipping Times
Transit times in the 48 States
Dataline Associates uses a network of regional warehouses and can deliver any regular stock UPS-able item in 1-3 days. 90% of our orders are delivered next day when ordered before 4pm eastern time.
If you are in a hurry for an item you can select Next Day, or Second Day shipping to guarantee delivery. Extra charges will apply.
Important notice to residential customers. Due to increasing surcharges by UPS for residental shipments, USPS first class and parcel post will be used whenever possible. Please allow 2-5 days for delivery to your home.
Transit times AK, HI, PR, APO, FPO
Dataline Associates uses the USPS to deliver to these addresses. Dataline will ship the order as soon as it can. Transit times are dependent on USPS policy and could take up to three weeks for some FPO boxes. Delivery to AK, PR and HI could be as quick as 3-4 days.
Returns
Defective Item
If an item you purchased from Dataline is defective, we suggest you check with the MFG to see if the warranty covers the problem, this helps keep our costs down as many MFG's will replace defective items. You can call Dataline for a replacement if you do not want to deal with the MFG, we understand. You will be responsible for sending the defective item back to us.
Damaged in Shipping
If your item was damaged in shipping, call us right away so we can file the claim work with the carrier and get you a replacement item right away.
Wrong Item Ordered
Whoops... That happens to the best of us. If the item is unopened let us know, we will take it back and help you find the right one, right away. You can even tell your boss it was our fault if you need to. If you opened the item, give us a call, we will try to work something out with you.
Item no longer needed
Your printer stopped working? You have three boxes of toner on the shelf for it? Your boss is going to scream that this is a waste of money? Not if you bought those toner from Dataline. We will take back any unopened box of OEM toner bought from us and give you a full credit for the purchase price, no matter how long ago you ordered it.
All non OEM toner and other unopened items can be returned for one year. After one year there is a 20% restocking charge.
Hardware, Printers, Monitors, Fax Machines, Data Storage
These items can not be returned for any reason after the box has been opened or the factory seal broken. For any defective items contact the MFG. Feel free to contact us with any assistance needed when contacting the MFG.
